Why it exists
Breville ships a pressurised basket, which creates artificial back-pressure so that almost any grind produces something that looks like crema. It also makes your grinder irrelevant, which is the problem.
54mm non-pressurised dual-cup basket with precision-cut holes and a straight wall. Once it is in, resistance comes from the coffee rather than a valve, and your grind setting starts to matter again.
Expect to grind significantly finer on the first attempt — most people go four to six steps down. Fits Breville / Sage 54mm portafilters, spouted or bottomless.
