Why it exists
A flat basket base drains fastest at the centre, where the head of water above the holes is deepest. A curved base changes that geometry.
58mm stainless basket with a spherical bottom profile, which evens out the pressure the bed sees from centre to edge. Non-pressurised, straight wall above the curve so the puck still tamps flat.
No change to your usual dose or technique — the difference shows up in the drawdown, not the workflow. Best judged through a bottomless portafilter.
