Why it exists
A tamper's only job is to apply the same force to a level bed, over and over. Anything it does beyond that — polishing, twisting, wedging — is either neutral or actively harmful.
Constant-pressure mechanism in a walnut handle, offered with a flat base or a threaded base depending on how you like the puck surface to finish. The base is ground flat and cut slightly under the basket so it clears the wall without leaving an untamped ring.
Works with any levelling step before it. Keep the wood dry — wipe the handle, rinse only the base, and never put it in a dishwasher.
