Why it exists
If you have fixed distribution and your shots still taste hollow at the right ratio and time, the basket's open area is one of the few remaining variables.
304 stainless with a micro-sieve base: many more, much smaller holes than a stamped basket, distributed evenly across the full diameter. The result is a more uniform flow field and, usually, a measurably higher extraction yield at the same recipe.
Expect to grind slightly coarser than with your stock basket — the finer mesh adds resistance. Change one variable at a time and taste before adjusting anything else.
